Our Legacy
The Uganda Martyrs University Alumni Association (UMUAA) represents graduates, former students, and affiliates of Uganda Martyrs University (UMU) - the nation's faith-based private university founded in 1993.
UMU is owned by the Episcopal Conference of the Catholic Bishops of Uganda, with a mission rooted in the motto: "Virtute et Sapientia Duc Mundum" (in Virtue and Wisdom Lead the World).
Since its inception with just 84 students and two academic departments, UMU has expanded across multiple campuses (Nkozi, Kampala, Masaka, Mbale, Lira, Kabale), now offering education through seven faculties, one institute, three schools and numerous departments, serving both residential and distance learners.
